Second Gens, Big Memories, and the Next Chapter Ahead
There’s something special about loading up the rigs, locking in 4WD, and heading out with your family—especially when everyone’s behind the wheel of a second-generation Suzuki. Most people know them as Chevy Trackers, but to us, they’re more than rebadged rigs. They’re part of the crew. In 2024, our family committed to getting out there—sand, mud, rocks, caves—you name it. And we hit it all with bone-stock second gens, proving that even factory setups can hang when the spirit of adventure leads the way. 🔧 A Garage-Full of Trackers One by one, each member of the family got their hands on a second-gen Suzuki. Some came in rough, some cleaner than expected—but every one of them had heart. These compact 4x4s were the perfect platform for our kind of travel: nimble, light, easy to fix, and just rugged enough to surprise you. 🌎 The Terrain We Tackled We didn’t stick to one trail type. Over the course of the year, we explored: Sand dunes that tested throttle control and momentum Mud pits that turned stock tires into a guessing game Rocky creek beds that demanded line choice and clearance Hidden caves and forest trails that reminded us why we do this in the first place We learned a lot—about the rigs, about ourselves, and about how important it is to just go. Get out there. Push the limit. And laugh when the stock suspension gets tested harder than it ever should. 🚧 The Lessons That Led to Upgrades As the year wrapped, one thing became clear: these rigs can hang, but they need help for 2025. We’ve got lift kits, lockers, tire upgrades, recovery gear, and lighting mods in the plans. Because while we love the simplicity of stock, there’s no denying that a little build goes a long way when you’re exploring hard and far. 2024 gave us dirt, grit, and connection. 2025 will be all about capability. We’re not just building rigs—we’re building a family legacy, one trail at a time.
